In all things beauty my least favourite category is hair care. My hair usually never does what I want it to do and never looks picture perfect when I need it to. Most "holy grail" products that bloggers swear by usually only cater to straight, greasy hair because that's what most people have. Only I have fine and dry curls. So when I stumbled upon the Ouai Morning After Kit I was sceptical.
The pricing of Ouai products is usally pretty off-putting for me but the kit came at a reasonable price for three products, that weren't full sized but perfect for a first try. So I gave in and bought it.
The smell of all the products is, admittedly, amazing. I'm usally not a big fan of floral scents but this has such a fresh hint to it that you instantly get that 'fresh from the hairdresser' vibe while using the products.
My favourite of the three of them is the Rose Hair & Body Oil. It's a very leightweight formula that is perfect for fine hair and I noticed that it also helps with hydrating and redefining my curls. The bonus with this is that you can apply the oil residue from your hands onto your body.
The Dry Shampoo Foam has also proven to do what it claims. It gets rid of excess oils, boosts volume and gives hold to the hair. What I really like about the foam formula is that, unlike every other dry shampoo I've tried, it doesn't leave that gritty and powdery feeling in your hair and just leaves you with fresh and smooth strands.
Finally, the Finsishing Creme did also work in my curly hair which I really did not expect. I like to comb it into my dry ends with my hands. This is especially useful when they're a bit frizzy and look worse for wear. The creme puts back the definition and the shine.
So all in all Ouai gets an A+ from me even though the pricing of the full sized products will leave me hesitant to repurchase them. I recently discovered that Asos now sells the Ouai Curl Defining Creme which I am very tempted to try. But for now I am very happy with the results of the Morning After Kit (even on a morning before).
