'No Fuss' Summer Make Up Routine

There has never been a summer in which I've been less enthused to try out high maintenance make up looks than this one. All I want at this point is for it to go on quick and still look good after a few hours in the heat. So I've been repeating the same routine for a few weeks now and I think it makes for a great no fuss summer look.

I have found hat powder products are the enemy of sweat. They look cakey at first and then they melt into a disgusting mixture on your face that will never, ever look good. So the only powder products I use right now are a bit (let's face it, a lot) of bronzer and loose setting powder in my t-zone. But other than that I completely trust into my cream products as they just melt into your skin and will never leave harsh lines and marks on your face once you start to sweat.

The Origins GinZing Tinted Moitsuriser has been my go-to for months now. I hardly use foundation anymore. It has build in SPF which is a double win because I can't be bothered to put on moisturizer, SPF AND foundation. Beware though with flash photgraphy: Your face will be white. But other than that I can't rave enough about this product. For my eyes I have been obsessed with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, especially the shade 'Iced Mocha'. They are so easy and quick in application that really anyone could do it. Pencil them on, blend with a fluffy brush and you're good to go. I put on some mascara and that's it for the eyes.

For highlight I like a natural sheen these days, for which MAC Cream Color Base in 'Hush' is perfect. I love a glossy cream highlight - nobody will ever be able to tell if it's a highlighter or just a healthy summer glow. To finish the look off I use my one and only KIKO Lip Liner in 301 Natural and of course Fenty Gloss Bomb; because nobody does a lipgloss better suited for summer than Rhianna. Doing my brows included this look takes me hardly 15 minutes and I love it. Not gonna lie though, I am looking forward to experimenting with make up again in autumn.

xx Laura
